History
Over 50 years ago while on vacation in Europe, Tivoli's founder Mr. Ben George, visited the famous Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark. His inspiration for Tivoli came from the evening lights of the Gardens and how the delicate illumination enhanced the landscape and created a festive surrounding environment. When he returned he began testing some ideas using an excess supply of automotive miniature incandescent lamps he had been selling. He came up with the idea of using them inside of plastic tubes to create decorative light strings. The Tivoli Tube was born. Since then, Tivoli tubing has since been incorporated into building facades, interior detail accents, floors, aisle and steps for entertainment and architectural lighting. Tivoli products have continued to evolve with the changing needs of the market. Tivoli was first to introduce indicator type LEDs into tubing, aisle and step lighting products. As LED technology has advanced so have Tivoli products. Tivoli’s new line of architectural LED based products incorporate the latest LED’s with quality characteristics illumination instead of just detail accent lighting along with the energy saving advantages of LEDs. The Tivoli brand has often been copied and in fact, ‘Tivoli type’ lighting is often referenced. However, there is no substitute for original Tivoli products. Tivoli has always incorporated quality manufacturing and materials into their products. Tivoli products are made to withstand extreme environments and are UL and CUL listed. Tivoli’s experienced team provides ongoing support to our customers. 2010 – Tivoli relocates to new facility in Tustin, California to accommodate further expansion and growth.
From the humble beginnings of Mr. George’s garage in 1967 to our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and demonstration showroom, Tivoli continues to evolve it's capabilities. Tivoli has several exciting new product releases planned for this year including:- Line voltage LED cove lighting

Strand Lighting is pleased to introduce the next generation of S21 Dimmer Strips; a perfect extension of the R21, C21, and A21 range of installed dimmer cabinets. Systems can be mixed and matched as needed to create a completely flexible lighting system to meet the needs of any installation. S21 dimmer strips feature quiet convection cooled IGBT dimming for low lamp noise and reliable operation. The new S21 dimmer strips are based on third generation IGBT dimming technology and offer several new features:
Each strip has three dual dimmers that are similar in operation to the modules used in R21 powered raceway. Each dimmer module has a total rating of 2.4kW but this load can be divided in any manner between the two dimmers. This gives users more flexibility than ever to use S21 for many applications. All dimmers now feature adjustable rise times of up to 1000 µs
Also new in S21 is an integrated LCD display that provides more user feedback and status and makes set up easier than ever before. All dimmers may be set to forward or reverse phase operation. This is ideal for a wide range of loads including the latest generation of dimmable LED sources.
Power inputs have also been updated and can now be installed on the top, bottom or back of the strip.
The new S21 will be available at prices similar to the previous model and will be available to ship at the end of March 2010.

Ellipsoidals - Leko Lite, as well as the addition of IGBT dimming,
lnsulated Gate Bipolar Transistor, to our very successful C21 dimmingline.
Strand is also reintroducing our S21 dimmer strip which now hosts
an updatedthird generation IGBT dimming module which utilizes 1000ps
transition times and full local statusreporting.
